Hi gloup,

The structure you describe is not amongst our pre-defined templates. The only way you could design that is either via our Rhino-plugin (see http://www.membranes24.com/demo-rhino.html) or with RhinoMembrane from TSI. Note that the latter is not our own product and sold by TSI at http://www.ixcube.com/. One of our team members (Johannes) has contributed to that work.

Is your topic still an issue and if yes which of our tools did you use?

André

Re:Rhino-Membrane 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi, I would like to ask for help in Rhino membrane modelling. I looked through the tutorials but they do not solve my problem - i need to make a model of something like a membrane, but with different points: I'm trying to create something like the piece of textile on this picture (a membrane pulled up in the middle, secured down with four points).
Is it possible? Could anyone help me anyhow? I would be very grateful...
I wish you guys good luck with this amazing programme.

Hi! Modelling a membrane with a singular high point in the middle is not only difficult with Rhino Membrane, but also difficult in nature itself. Just try to create a high point in a soap film with a sharp needle...
If you really want this kind of support, reduce the number of form finding steps to 1 in order to allow an anisotropic and inhomogeneous stress distribution. If you want a better solution, try to model it with an eye cable.
Regards,
Johannes

First of all thanks for your helps it is a very beneficial website. I just started rhinomembrane but there is a error that it gives me :

Do you know why this error occured and how can I fix it?

Thank you...
